Justin Barret was curious about how to get a PVR to "pause" and hold on
individual frames during playback. I guess to conserve on Disk space.

here's How.....use an editing prg like Adobe Premiere 4.0 or even the
Assymetrix DVP. Once the frame you wish to "HOLD" is visible to the
editing pkg (ie. on your normal HDD in a format like tga or jpg etc.),
just drop it in the timeline of your video, then use the "duration"
setting in Premiere to set how long it should hold for.

Upon "Making" the PVR movie you'll notice that even though your still
frames hold for more than 1/30 s the PVR only creates ONE frame to
playback on the disk. I guess the trick here is that the AVI file used
to playback instructs the PVR to stop somehow.

I use Premiere 4.0 in a WFW 3.11, win32s, 133MHZ P5  with 32MB
RAM...along with Lightwave of course.
